Dangerous Headaches

A small proportion of people can have headaches that are dangerous (such as subarachnoid haemorrhage, meningitis, temporal arteritis, tumor, and raised intracranial pressure for whatever reason).

Dangerous headaches tend to be “first and worst,” single and of sudden onset, progressive, and with onset later in life.

If you think you may have such a headache, call your doctor or 911 immediately!
